Federal Armed Forces Support Organisation (BBO)

The Federal Armed Forces Support Organisation (BBO) provides care and support for soldiers and their families. Services are available both during foreign deployments and during periods of domestic service. To this end, the BBO is represented nationwide in over 31 full-time family support centres (FBZ) and up to 50 temporary family support centres (FBSt) set up on an as-needed basis.

The BBO's offerings include, for example

  • Information and support events for relatives of soldiers on deployment;
  • Informing the relatives of soldiers on deployment about the current situation in the country of deployment;
  • Referral to competent contact persons in case of problems;
  • Organisation of events for networking and exchange with other relatives of soldiers;
  • Enabling video telephone conferences with soldiers in the country of deployment.
