Victims Compensation Act (OEG)
Victims of intentional acts of violence (outside of work or on the way to work) and the surviving dependants of such persons are entitled in certain cases to benefits under the Victims Compensation Act (OEG). The range of benefits extends from the assumption of medical and healthcare costs and monthly payments to the assumption of costs for special assistance in all situations. The relevant application forms can be downloaded from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS).
