Shady spots – My dad has PTSD!

The book is designed for children aged 4 to 14 and aims to help them understand the connections between foreign deployments, trauma and the resulting changes to family life. The book, which was produced in collaboration between the Protestant Military Chaplaincy and the German Armed Forces Psychotrauma Centre in Berlin, is available free of charge from the Military Chaplaincy, family support organisations and German Armed Forces hospitals.

However, we strongly advise parents to only go through the children's book with their children under the guidance of professionals and not to use it on their own.
