Psychotherapist search database for members of the armed forces
The „Psychotherapist search database for members of the British Armed Forces“ is an online portal that enables members of the German Armed Forces to find qualified psychotherapists who offer treatment in accordance with the four recognised guideline procedures:
- analytical psychotherapy
- systemic therapy
- depth psychology-based psychotherapy and
- behavioural therapy
This service is provided by the association „Angriff auf die Seele – Psychosoziale Hilfe für Angehörige der Bundeswehr e. V.“ (Attack on the Soul – Psychosocial Help for Members of the German Armed Forces) and operated in cooperation with the German Armed Forces Psychotrauma Centre.
The aim of the database is to facilitate access to psychotherapeutic support for soldiers, particularly with regard to mission-related psychological stress such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Therapists can register in this database to offer their specialised services to members of the German Armed Forces.
The platform thus serves as a bridge between soldiers seeking help and suitable therapists.
