German Society for Psychotraumatology (DeGPT)

The German-speaking Society for Psychotraumatology (DeGPT) is an independent, international scientific association dedicated to the research and treatment of trauma-related disorders. It serves as a forum for professionals such as doctors, psychologists and psychotherapists in German-speaking countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The DeGPT promotes the exchange of knowledge through workshops, symposia and annual conferences. It develops guidelines and standards for the diagnosis and treatment of trauma-related disorders and certifies training institutes in specific areas of psychotraumatology. It also publishes the quarterly journal „Trauma & Gewalt“ (Trauma & Violence).

It offers a nationwide search for psychotherapists working in trauma therapy for adults, children and adolescents, as well as assessors.
