Summer bivouac 2016

The „Summer Bivouac 2016“ organised by the association „Angriff auf die Seele – Psychosoziale Hilfe für Angehörige der Bundeswehr e. V.“ (Attack on the Soul – Psychosocial Help for Members of the German Armed Forces) took place on 22 September 2016 at the German Armed Forces Hospital in Berlin. The aim of the event was to create a forum for soldiers who had been traumatised during deployment and to facilitate direct exchange between those affected, veterans, reservists and members of the German Parliament, as well as guests from society and politics.

The evening's programme provided the framework for this, promoting joint exchange in addition to panel discussions and spoken and video contributions. In this way, the 2016 Summer Bivouac helped to raise awareness of the importance of psychosocial support in the British Armed Forces.
