#Invisible Suffering – The 4th film: Perspective from the point of view of children

We have a premiere to mark the first National Veterans' Day in Germany: we are presenting the fourth film in our #UnsichtbaresLeid project here on our website and at our stand at the main event at the Reichstag in Berlin. Feel free to drop by.

What do children experience when their mother or father returns emotionally scarred after serving abroad? This impressive short film focuses on the perspective of children from military families. Their voices are often barely audible – but their experiences have a lasting impact on them.

#UnsichtbaresLeid gives a voice to the invisible and makes it visible – this time through the eyes of the youngest members of troubled families. The film is the latest instalment in our four-part series, which presents personal perspectives on life with the consequences of deployment.

The film „#UnsichtbaresLeid: Perspektive aus Sicht von Kindern“ (#Invisible Suffering: Children's Perspective) was made in 2024 with financial support from the German Bundestag as part of a project grant. It was produced by the association Angriff auf die Seele e. V. in cooperation with the Berlin agency C3 Content GmbH.
